April 2017 Fashion Friday: Karley & Tayler {Part 2}

We are so excited about Karley + Tayler's wedding/wedding photos that we had to feature them twice this month. That's right, your Wedding Wednesday couple is gracing your screens once again for this month's Fashion Friday!

What we love so much about this wedding: it's a perfect example of carrying elements through -- every detail is so dang cohesive, making it the perfect Fashion Friday feature. Brides-to-be: take notes! Their palette was a sophisticated take on late autumn without the traditional fall colors. The bridesmaid dresses, men's attire, the orange wall at Pier B & even the bricks at Clyde Iron Works complemented the palette. We're also quite partial to the sock choice by the groom...we actually love them. Tayler got them from our shop & we were so happy he busted them out for the big day! Represent!

Karley paired her beautiful dress with a cozy sweater {the image of her putting it on is one of our favorites!} + the most darling ballet slippers. The bridesmaid dresses also looked amazing & relaxed with their layered sweaters + greenery crowns.

Karley worked with us here at S&G as a floral designer & she is a super talented graphic designer as well {she designed their entire stationery suite}, so we knew this wedding would be one for the books. During the consultation she showed us the color palette, bouquet shapes, dress swatches & from there she let us run with it. We drove to our suppliers the week of the wedding & hand selected the floral & greenery. We wanted to incorporate gobs of garden style roses as Karley's middle name is Rose. For Tayler's boutonniere we wanted to be sure to include a rose as well, & the color of the spray roses we used matched Karley's hair quite nicely, if we may say so ourselves! It was truly an honor to be a part of their day.

Karley + Tayler invited the entire S&G family, so we all were there while they exchanged the most darling & heartfelt vows {seriously crying thinking of them}. It was such a beautiful, bright, fun day & Kiley Marissa Photography hit it out of the park capturing that day. {Darling Kiley is also one of our own here at S&G! We miss you, doll!}

April 2017 Wedding Wednesday: Karley & Tayler {Part 1}

Karley & Tayler were married on a bright November day at Clyde Iron Works in Duluth, Minnesota. Karley used to work at our shop & we couldn't have been more excited for her wedding. With Karley's artistic style & Tayler's love for the outdoors, we knew this wedding would be one for the books! From the ladies wearing hair crowns paired with cozy sweaters over their gorgeous dresses, the ax groomsmen gifts & Karley's epic hair straight out of the Little Mermaid {hair goals} -- we are still in awe of the love & magic of that day. So many personal elements were incorporated into this wedding including letterpress invitations made by the bride {who happens to be a kick-ass graphic designer--she also designed our logo--thanks, doll}. There wasn't a dry eye during the ceremony--trust us, we were there.

We had an absolute blast selecting the perfect blooms for our girl. We met numerous times discussing all of the details & came up with just the look. Dusky smokebush, lush peonies, ranunculus, scabiosa, a variety of eucalyptus, rose-hips, dusty miller, hanging amaranthus, fall foliage, & heavy on the roses {in honor of the bride's middle name} made up the bride's stunning bouquet. The bridesmaid bouquets consisted of copious amounts of greenery {including a staff favorite: carolina sapphire} coordinating with the free-form & organic styling of the bride's bouquet.

If you feel like crying your face off -- check out their wedding video here.
